At the tender age of 25, Zack Greinke went 16-8 in 33 starts and struck out 9.5 batters per nine. He rode that, and a FIP of 2.33, to a WAR of 8.6 in 229.1 innings.

Greinke would participate in that year's All-Star Game and take home the AL Cy Young for the very first time.
