The Cubs have an excellent matchup against Jimmy Nelson today, and Cubs stacks will surely be popular.

However, in cash, don't go blindly fitting in every Cubs player you can. Nelson may be a gas can, but it's only to lefties. Against right-handers in his career, he has a league average 19.8% strikeout rate, 52.4% ground-ball rate, and minuscule 26.8% hard-hit rate.

That may not be enough to scare you off a stud like Kris Bryant, but for righties like Willson Contreras or Addison Russell, it's not an ideal matchup.

Last year against righties, Contreras had a bloated 25.5% strikeout rate, and despite a solid 33.9% hard-hit rate, he kept it on the ground 53.6% of the time. Russell struck out against right-handers 22.2% of the time, and only had a 28.5% hard-hit rate. Neither makes for a great play against Nelson, especially in cash games.
