5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 4/18/17

Despite his hot start, don't take your chances with Jimmy Nelson in daily fantasy today. Who else should you avoid on a full Tuesday slate?

The Eric Thames show keeps trucking along, as he homered in his fifth straight game last night and leads the league with seven.

Back in February, I was cautiously optimistic about Thames in season-long drafts, but never expected a hot start like this. He'll undoubtedly cool off at some point, and the league will eventually adjust to him. Still, in the early going he's one of the most fun stories in baseball, and looks like he's going to be just fine here in the states.

Looking forward to tonight's slate, we have all 30 teams on the docket! Surprisingly, there are only two elite pitchers in Max Scherzer ($11,400) and Yu Darvish ($10,700), but there are plenty of juicy hitting matchups to target.

With so many options, we better narrow things down a bit. Let's get to it!
