Why He Will Go Overlooked:
The New York Yankees have been off to a surprising start, thanks in large part to rookie Aaron Judge and his immense power. He owns 10 homers and 20 RBI while launching 5 long balls in the last five games.
One player likely to see low ownership is fourth outfielder Brandon Guyer, who's off to a pretty rough start to 2017 with the Indians. Yet to walk in over 36 plate appearances, Guyer's .147 batting average and .194 wOBA haven't earned him a ton of playing time.
Why You Should Use Him:
Cleveland is hoping Guyer can get back on track, and perhaps lefty Daniel Norris can provide that spark.
Guyer's made a living as a platoon outfielder -- against left-handed pitching, he's posted a .367 wOBA and .176 ISO in his career, which is far better than his .289 wOBA and .101 ISO against right-handed pitching.
Norris, meanwhile, has been atrocious to start the season. Over 21 innings pitched, he's logged a 5.24 SIERA and strikeout rate is all the way down to 15.0%. An 11.0% walk rate certainly hasn't helped, either.
Against righties so far this year, Norris has allowed a 44.6% hard-hit rate -- which may be just what Guyer needs to get hot at the plate.
