Going back to the Detroit Tigers offense for this one, Mike Fiers has actually posted reverse platoon splits over his career -- allowing a .332 wOBA on a 34.0% hard-hit rate to right-handed hitters.

While Justin Upton hasn't had a great start, he does have some encouraging batted-ball numbers, with a 42.9% fly-ball rate and a 40.7% hard-hit rate that is on pace to be the second-highest of his career. As a right-handed bat against Fiers, Upton is in a good spot to turn those strong contact numbers into production.
