Chris Archer is another guy who has posted some strong strikeout numbers in recent years. He has a 28.6% strikeout rate and 12.7% swinging-strike rate in 2017, which would be his third straight season with marks of at least 27.0% and 12.0%, respectively. He's also sporting a 3.51 SIERA, and has punched out 11-plus hitters in three of his last four starts.

His matchup against the Minnesota Twins isn't anything to write home about -- they hit right-handed pitching well and have a middling 21.4% strikeout rate -- but Archer's recent play is enough to overcome that. numberFire's projections have him posting the highest strikeout total on the slate.
