Jonathan Papelbon will never top anybody's list of most likable dudes, but as a closing pitcher, he was among the league's best for a number of years. After his debut season, the righty transitioned to closer, where he would reside for the remainder of his career\ in Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington as well. For the Red Sox alone, he saved a total of 219 games, while striking out 10.02 batters every 9 innings. After all was said and done, all those saves and strikeouts amounted to six All-Star appearances in addition to a World Series ring in 2007.
