Kyle Schwarber, OF, Chicago Cubs

FanDuel Price: $2,600

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Absolutely owning left-handed pitching this year, and facing southpaw Drew Pomeranz of the Boston Red Sox, George Springer is likely to be a hot choice, and for good reason. He's posted a 217 wRC+ and 1.200 OPS against lefties this year, and is a big reason why the Astros rank fifth as a team in wOBA (.336) against left-handed pitching.

With only a .178 batting average and .306 wOBA, Kyle Schwarber of the Chicago Cubs is not likely to be a first-choice outfielder for many DFS players.

Why You Should Use Him:

There's no way around it -- Schwarber has had a rough 2017. He's been benched at times against lefties, and his .095 ISO against them certainly gives good reason to do so.

But against right-handed pitching, Schwarber has been far better, dropping a strong .247 ISO. And June as a whole has been kinder to Schwarber -- he's posted a 1.056 OPS over 38 June plate appearances.

Tonight, Schwarber will get that juicy matchup against a righty in Pittsburgh Pirates starter Trevor Williams. Overall, Williams has posted an ugly 4.79 SIERA and 7.5% swinging-strike rate.

Lefties have been a particular problem this season for Williams, against whom he logged a 5.23 xFIP, a .324 wOBA, and a 42.4% fly-ball rate.

At only $2,600, Schwarber is probably going to be a low-owned option with a pile of upside.
