Speaking of upside, Eric Thames' ceiling is not at all captured in his salary tonight -- he has a .389 wOBA and .296 ISO on a 42.2% hard-hit rate against right-handed pitching this season.

He also draws a great matchup against Cincinnati Reds' righty Homer Bailey, who has only played one major league game since returning from elbow surgery (which included getting shelled for 8 runs in less than 2 innings). Bailey also posted a 4.57 xFIP against left-handed hitters in his last full major league season -- which was in 2014.
