After a promising start to the season, Michael Pineda is back to his maddening ways. He should be avoided in DFS tonight.

Alex Wood ($10,500) against the San Diego Padres? Sign me up!

It's amazing that a pitcher who wasn't even supposed to start this year could be the chalk tonight, but that's how far Wood has come. The price is a high-water mark for him, and his pitch count is always a concern, but the Padres are like a cheat code for punchouts. Wood boasts the best SIERA (2.68) and implied team total (3.16) on the slate.

But I would be remiss if I didn't also mention Jacob deGrom ($12,100), who's in a nice spot of his own against the Philadelphia Phillies. With three straight starts of exactly 52 FanDuel points apiece, deGrom is your man if you're worried about Wood's pitch count.

In tournaments, you can go any which way, with upside hurlers like Lance McCullers ($9,500), Robbie Ray ($9,600) and Jacob Faria ($8,400) all worthy pivots.
