Jose Quintana finds himself in arguably the best spot of any starting pitcher on today's 15-game slate, as he will face a hapless San Francisco Giants offense in the spacious AT&T Park, which has the second-lowest park factor and easily the lowest home run park factor in the league. As a result, San Francisco has the third-lowest implied run total (3.65 runs) on the slate.

Only two teams have a worse wOBA (.293) against left-handed pitching than the Giants, a number that has fallen even further when playing at home (.287).

Quintana was bombed in his most recent start, but over the past 30 days, only six other pitchers have a better xFIP than his 2.91 mark. He also has the league's third-best strikeout rate (34.8%) among starting pitchers during that stretch.

He comes in as the third-highest projected pitcher on today's slate according to our metrics, but he has a better value rating than any of the pitchers priced above $7,000.
