Among the 304 hitters with at least 25 batted balls since the All-Star break, J.T. Realmuto ranks 16th in average exit velocity. He has also been tremendous in 83 plate appearances against southpaws, turning a 36.2% hard-hit rate and 5.2% soft-hit rate into a .437 wOBA.

Washington Nationals southpaw Gio Gonzalez hasn't been as good as his 2.66 ERA may make it look, with a shaky 4.45 SIERA (on track to be his worst since 2008), and a 4.42 xFIP against right-handed bats.
