Aaron Hicks, New York Yankees (OF)

New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks was on his way to an MVP-caliber season when he suffered multiple oblique injuries last year, limiting him to just 88 games. He was enjoying a career year when on the field, though. In his age-28 campaign, he slashed .266/.372/.475 with 15 homers, 10 stolen bases, a 127 wRC+ and a 3.3 fWAR. He was on well his way to a 5- or 6-win season until injuries derailed him.

But Hicks has never been a star player before. His highest fWAR before 2017 was 1.5 in 97 games with the Minnesota Twins in 2015. He'd never hit more than 11 dingers in a season and had only managed to play 100 games one time (2016 with the Yankees). Is what we saw from Hicks in those 88 games the guy New York can count on in 2018? Or will he revert to being the replacement-level player he had been before?
