Philadelphia Phillies outfielder/first baseman Rhys Hoskins didn't get called up to the Majors until August 10th, but finished 4th in the NL Rookie of the Year voting after setting a record home run pace to start a career. Hoskins got to 19 homers faster than anyone in baseball history, needing just 212 plate appearances to pile up a 2.0 bWAR and a 2.2 fWAR.
He showed throughout his minor league career that he has power (67 home runs from 2016-17 in AA and AAA) and he's always shown a good approach at the plate (13.5% walk rate in AAA last season).
