Brent Suter, Milwaukee Brewers

Starts: May 28th vs. St. Louis Cardinals, June 3rd at Chicago White Sox
ESPN percentage owned: 2.4%

Last year, Milwaukee Brewers lefty Brent Suter earned the affection of streamers with a surprisingly sharp two-month run, posting a 1.91 ERA and 2.71 FIP over 37.2 frame across last June and July. There was some hope that the rotator cuff injury that took a chunk out of his season could explain away his cataclysmic August (13 earned runs over 14.1 innings), but his 4.56 ERA and nearly identical 4.51 FIP on the current season suggests that his early-summer hot stretch was likely a sample-size aberration.

That said, the soft-tossing lefty is in a nice spot to edge his ratios back towards respectability in Week 9. The White Sox and Cardinals both pound the ball into the ground against lefties, showing team-wide grounder rates against southpaws close to 50%. Meanwhile, Chicago sports the worst group strikeout rate in the MLB against left-handers. Granted, the hitter-friendly settings for both of these starts might give cautious streamers some pause, but Suter remains a solid option for deep-leaguers who don't mind living dangerously.
