Hold Joey Gallo

Texas Rangers outfielder Joey Gallo is among the American League leaders in home runs (15), which is no surprise, of course. He hit 41 bombs last year and slugged .537, and in many ways, that power stroke has continued here in 2018.

However, in May, it's been a huge struggle for Gallo. He's never going to have a high batting average, as last year's .209 mark would testify. But after hitting .216/.304/.468 with a 10.4% walk rate and 28.8% strikeout rate, those numbers have fallen to .174/.237/.465 in May with a walk rate of 6.5% and a strikeout rate of 45.2%.

Extreme defensive shifts against Gallo have really hurt him, but he'll eventually start walking more again, and his kind of power is hard to find. Hold onto him, ride out the slump, and wait for the dingers to come back.
