Chris Sale ranks first among today's qualifying starting pitchers in SIERA (2.71), strikeout rate (34.0%) and swinging-strike rate (15.4%). The 24.9% hard-hit rate he's allowing is also the lowest in the group, while the 28.6% soft-hit rate he is forcing is the highest by a big margin. So, he's good.

Sale bounced back from a couple of poor fantasy outings with 50-plus FanDuel points in each of his last two games, which gives him at least 50 FanDuel points in five of his last eight starts.

He draws a great matchup today against Minnesota. The Twins sit in the bottom-10 in wRC+ against left-handed pitching, while their 24.0% strikeout rate against southpaws is the 8th-highest in the Majors.

It comes as little surprise that our models project Sale as the day's top fantasy pitcher.
