Tim Anderson, SS, Chicago White Sox

Price: $4,400

The Chicago White Sox offense couldn't get much going last night, but they've still got a solid 4.87 implied total tonight as they draw another interesting matchup against a Baltimore Orioles pitcher -- this time against southpaw John Means.

Means has only pitched 19 career innings in the majors, so we can't read too much into his numbers there, but his minor league numbers don't make him particularly scary. His 3.89 xFIP in 19 Triple-A starts last year isn't a bad mark, but it's also not anything to write home about, and predictably that number has climbed to 4.07 so far in the majors.

Tim Anderson is having a monstrous start to the year, with a .432 wOBA and .211 ISO over 79 plate appearances. We can expect some serious regression, as a .456 batting average on balls in play (BABIP) isn't going to hold for any extended period, but there's room for him to regress and still be producing well.

In that sample, 58 of those plate appearances have come in righty-versus-righty matchups, and over his career there's been a huge discrepancy in his numbers against righties (.291 wOBA) and southpaws (.341 wOBA).

Getting a crack at a middling southpaw tonight should help ease any regression concerns -- at least for one game -- and he continues to offer some big upside.
