Delino DeShields, OF, Texas Rangers

Price: $2,700

On the other side of that game, the Rangers have what would usually be a gross 3.78-run implied total against Mariners lefty Marco Gonzales.

On this slate, though, we can't get too picky about implied totals, and if we're just looking at projected leadoff hitters for the day, Delino DeShields Jr. has the best implied total for anyone priced at or below $3,000.

Gonzales hasn't exactly been scary this year, either. His 3.32 ERA looks good, but it comes with a 4.91 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA), which brings his career average to 4.18. His strikeout rate is also sitting at only 15.7%, and he's allowing a 35.2% hard-hit rate.

DeShields has never been a killer from the dish, though his .314 wOBA on the young season does sit slightly ahead of his career-average .298. He's also looked a lot more competent against southpaws over his career, with his wOBA jumping to .310 and his walk rate sitting at 10.1%.

This ability to get on base gives him some nice fantasy upside. He swiped 29 and 20 bases in the last two seasons (in 120 and 106 games, respectively), and so far he has six steals through 21 games in 2019.
