Brandon Morrow showed the upside that the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays fell in love with prior to injuries in his no-decision versus the Giants on April 10th. Morrow allowed four hits over seven innings –- all singles –- while striking out seven and walking three. He gets his only start of the week against the rebuilding Diamondbacks. The D’Backs are fifth in baseball in strikeouts and walks after one week, which is pretty impressive. The risk of walks is there with Morrow (4.16 carer walks per nine), but he will get his second home start at PetCo Park -- a pitcher's park -- where the Padres pitching staff sports an ERA of 0.60 in the early going.
