What a surprise Wandy Rodriguez has been thus far. He has had two forgettable outings out of six on a Rangers team starved for pitching, but has given up one run in each of the other four. Rodriguez gets two starts this week, with the first being in Cleveland. Yes, the Indians are a left-handed heavy lineup playing into a handful of lefty-lefty battles, but they scored five runs on eight hits in 4.1 innings pitched against him May 15. The Indians also score better at home.

The start to use Wandy for is against Boston, who has dreadful on the road and against lefties this season. The Red Sox have seen 405 at-bats against southpaws and have a sad .202/.290/.346 slash line and have grounded into 11 double plays, tied for second most in the Majors.

On the road, the Bo Sox average 3.7 runs per game while hitting an MLB-worst .219. Their .639 OPS makes them one of three teams with an OPS under .645. Boston’s 46 road extra-base hits is also third worst overall. Get Wandy into your lineup for his weekend start in Arlington.
