Brett Anderson gets a belated start after dealing with a calf cramp, and based on his lengthy injury history, a few extra days off isn’t a bad thing. That time off lined Anderson up against a reeling Colorado Rockies offense at home Tuesday.

Colorado averages 3.53 runs per road game, second worst to Atlanta in the Majors. The Rockies’ .281 road OBP is the worst in baseball, and their .232 average and .665 OPS are second worst to the Minnesota Twins. Colorado is averaging 8.8 strikeouts per game. The mile high offense has dealt with countless injuries, the trade of Troy Tulowitzki and the arrival of disgruntled Jose Reyes. FanGraphs rates the Rockies offense as the sixth worse offense based on batting WAR.
