Giancarlo Stanton, OF, Miami Marlins

FanDuel Price: $4,900

Giancarlo Stanton is rediscovering his home run stroke.

He’s already hit nine home runs this season, seven of which have come versus right-handed pitching. He also has a .312 ISO against righties, which is even higher than his number from a year ago. Last season, he posted a .291 ISO split to go along with a .375 wOBA.

Going back to this season, Stanton has been able to generate much more lift on his balls in play versus righties. Only 28.7 percent of his balls in plays have been fly balls against lefties, but that number jumps to 46.2 percent versus right-handed pitching.

He’ll face Vincent Velasquez tonight, who will certainly be a popular pitching option due to his 11.2 strikeouts per nine innings and the fact that he’s only allowed one home run all year to right-handed hitters.

But this is the perfect scenario in tournaments. When you can get a power hitter with great splits at a lower ownership percentage versus a pitcher who will be highly owned, your lineup will rocket up the leaderboards when Stanton goes yard.
