5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Studs to Target on 5/6/16
Khristopher Davis, OF, Oakland Athletics
FanDuel Price: $3,300
So far in 2016, Khristopher Davis has “only” posted an ISO of .220 while hitting five of his six home runs versus right-handed pitching.
Why the dismissal of his ISO? Because, last year, Davis hit righties even better, posting a .271 ISO and a .367 wOBA.
Davis is a batter who experiences reverse splits, as he has a much higher hard-hit rate (41.9 percent in 2016) and fly ball rate (43.5 percent this year) than versus southpaws.
His opponent tonight, Mike Wright, only has small MLB samples to dissect. Last year in 23 innings, he allowed a .250 ISO to right-handed hitters. When looking at his career as a whole, he has a minuscule strikeouts per nine innings of 5.74 and a below-average xFIP of 5.17.
In addition to Wright’s mediocrity, Davis also receives the benefit of a ballpark bump. He’ll hit in Camden Yards tonight, where right-handed hitters enjoyed a 14 percent increase in home runs above league average last year.
Davis is a top-rated outfield option and will only cost 9.4 percent of your FanDuel salary cap.
