So, we already know about Nicasio and his struggles versus left-handed hitters. It could be a good idea to stack the Reds tonight, and Jay Bruce is right behind Joey Votto on the stud list.

In DFS, Jay Bruce is only useful versus right-handed pitching. His FanDuel price is generally based on his season-long numbers and won’t differ much based on his opponent, which means we’ll get him at a discount versus a righty.

Last year, Bruce had a .232 ISO versus right-handed pitching. When looking at his lefty-lefty splits, his ISO dropped all the way to .151. Comparing this to Joey Votto, whose .436 wOBA versus lefties last season makes him playable against any opponent, Bruce is limited to matchups like the one he has tonight.

Bruce already has 4 home runs against right-handers this season with a .259 ISO. One stat that sticks out is his 51.7 pull percentage split, as this is a weakness of Nicasio. This year, lefties have been able to pull 48.7 percent of batted balls off Nicasio.

At $3,400, Bruce is an elite outfield option tonight.
