Nick Markakis, OF, Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves' offense doesn't offer a lot to get excited about, but Nick Markakis is one of the few encouraging bats. His power hasn't looked great -- he's yet to record a home run this season -- but with a 33.7% fly ball rate and 31.7% hard-hit rate (both above his career averages), that's not too troublesome just yet. He also has a career .354 wOBA and .153 ISO against right-handed pitchers, putting him in a good spot against Dillon Gee tonight.

Over his career, Gee has allowed a .343 wOBA and 1.35 home runs per nine nine innings to southpaws while recording a 14.9% strikeout rate and 4.70 xFIP.

Markakis hits leadoff for the Braves, which is a plus. In addition to the favorable matchup, he's hitting at Kauffman Stadium, a park that is friendly to left-handed hitters. All those factors make him a strong enough value to help you to overlook the weak offense around him.
