Luis Valbuena doesn't have the kind of numbers that make him jump out as a strong play -- with a career .311 wOBA and .160 ISO against right-handed pitchers -- but his situation makes him an excellent value play today.

The Astros have the highest implied total of the day at 5.58, and have an incredible matchup against Sean O'Sullivan.

O'Sullivan has a career 5.96 ERA, 5.19 SIERA and 10.6 percent strikeout rate.Things get even worse if you just look at his numbers against lefties, and he has allowed a .390 wOBA, 2.01 home runs per nine and has a 5.57 xFIP. Valbuena is a nice cheap way to get exposure to the most well-positioned offense of the night, and despite his unexciting numbers, he still offers big upside here.
