He hasn't shown the kind of power we're used to seeing so far this season, but it's not time to abandon hope on Justin Upton yet. His 32.2 percent hard-hit rate on the season isn't far off of his career average (34.4 percent), and he's sporting a 44.9 percent fly ball rate, but his home run-to-fly ball ratio sits at a lowly 5.7 percent. He's putting the ball in the air and making solid contact, and we can expect the home runs to start coming.

He has hit lefties well over his career, with a .373 wOBA and .226 ISO, and faces a struggling lefty tonight in Carlos Rodon.

Rodon has a 4.15 SIERA through 36 Major League games and has been burned by righties to the tune of a .350 wOBA and 4.30 xFIP.

Comerica Park is a favorable place to play for right-handed hitters, and with a strong matchup tonight, Upton is in a great spot.
