Matt Shoemaker continued his reign of terror on Saturday, tossing eight shutout innings against the Cleveland Indians while collecting 11 more strikeouts. Shoemaker has gone at least seven innings in each of his past five starts and boasts a 1.88 ERA. His 2.01 xFIP offers some validation to that sparkling ERA, too. He also has an absurd 48-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio during those five starts.

His one start this week will come against the A's, who, as described earlier, struggle against right-handers. His strikeout numbers aren't likely to remain this high, especially against Oakland, but he could certainly continue to lower his ERA.
