Javier Baez, SS, Chicago Cubs

FanDuel Price: $2,900

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Xander Bogaerts will likely be the chalk at shortstop, while Tim Anderson should once again be popular at his bargain bin price. Javier Baez will be left to compete with several other appealing shortstop plays for the third-most popular spot.

Why You Should Use Him:

Following a 3-for-4 game with a homer, Baez now has an extra-base hit in three straight games. The young infielder will look to build on his recent success in tonight's matchup against lefty Jaime Garcia.

Garcia's numbers on the season look fairly respectable, but he has really struggled recently -- posting a 6.04 ERA and 1.93 WHIP over his past five starts. The Cubs are projected for 4.1 runs against him today, but it could very well end up being more with the way that he has been pitching.

Garcia has allowed righties to post better numbers against him in his career, which bodes well for Baez, who has much better career numbers against lefties.

Give Baez a long look tonight in tournaments. He isn't as safe of a play as some of the names mentioned previously, but it is hard to ignore his upside at this price.
