Rich Hill Could Be Lethal for the Dodgers

Starters in the National League hold a 4.18 SIERA with a 20.6% strikeout rate and 7.7% walk rate for the season. In the American League, those numbers shift to 4.34, 19.7%, and 7.8%, respectively. Rich Hill was already one of the best pitchers for DFS when he was healthy, and lil homie finna get that N.L. bump with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Giddy up.

Prior to the blister that has kept him on the shelf since mid July, Hill had a 3.43 SIERA on the year with a 28.9% strikeout rate and 9.0% walk rate. Those are all top-tier numbers as they are, but now his peripherals should improve when he doesn't have to face a designated hitter. He'll also be operating in a slightly better park for pitchers on a team that's third in numberFire's power rankings. Everything about this move should have you salivating about using Hill.

Because Hill hasn't made a start since July 17th, it may be wise to hold off on using him his first time on the bump with his new team. However, once his pitch count is back up, his price isn't likely to match his potential, and you'll want a slice of his Gucciness before things properly adjust.
