Adam Lind may look washed up this season, with one of the lowest wOBAs of his career, but a deeper look at the numbers leaves plenty of reason to be optimistic. He has a 39.3% hard-hit rate (the second-best of his career) but a career-low .246 BABIP, indicating that he is likely not hitting anywhere near as poorly as that wOBA might have you believe.

Lind's hard-hit rate against right-handed pitching this season is an even more impressive 40.8%, and with a career .288/.348/.505 slash against righties, he's in a good spot against Michael Fulmer tonight.

Fulmer's 2.42 ERA in his rookie season looks impressive, but it's accompanied by a less impressive 3.98 SIERA. He has fared even worse against left-handed hitters, with a 4.46 xFIP, giving Lind big upside in the matchup.
