Trea Turner, SS, Washington Nationals

FanDuel Price: $3,600

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

It will be interesting to see how the shortstop ownership shakes out tonight. At the top, Xander Bogaerts will demand some attention in a matchup against Severino. Orlando Arcia and Brandon Crawford both might end up being popular value plays at $2,700 each. Arcia, a top prospect, has been hitting near the top of the order for Milwaukee and if last night was any indication, he will likely be popular again tonight. Crawford is coming off of a historical seven-hit performance and is in a lefty-righty matchup. Wait, who are we talking about again? Oh yeah, like the rest of the daily fantasy community will tonight, we forgot about Trea Turner.

Why You Should Use Him:

Turner has been as good as advertised. He's posted a .303 batting average along with some unexpected power recently, smacking two homers in his last four games. He's also been a terror on the basepaths, stealing 8 bases in 9 attempts.

Turner and the Nationals get a chance to face righty Trevor Bauer, who has his season ERA up to 4.08 after posting an 8.37 ERA over his last five starts. Most recently, Bauer was given an early exit from the Minnesota Twins, who piled up eight runs against him in just 2 2/3 innings.

Bauer has is sporting some reverse splits this season, posting a 4.10 xFIP against lefties and 4.42 xFIP against righties. If Turner, a righty, is again hitting near the top of the order for Washington, he is certainly worth considering in this matchup against the reeling Bauer.
