4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 9/22/16

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks. With the split slates, we'll be focusing exclusively on the main slate beginning at 7 pm Eastern. Here are the teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

Pittsburgh Pirates

Similar to yesterday's Texas Rangers- Los Angeles Angels game, this tilt should be a high-scoring affair for both teams. It's projected at the highest over/under of 9, and the Milwaukee Brewers should put up their fair share of runs in this contest as well. But let's focus on the Pittsburgh Pirates and their red-hot offense.

Over the last 14 days, the Pirates feature one of the best offenses in Major League Baseball, ranking second in the league in wOBA (.359) and first in wRC+ at 126. Primarily, this is on the strength of an en fuego Andrew McCutchen, who's been absolutely torching the ball in this series and knocked his 24th home run of the season on Wednesday evening.

But McCutchen has not been alone with his torrid play; rookie Adam Frazier has been a great tone setter at the top of the lineup and sports a .403 on base percentage and .894 OPS in his first 124 Major League Baseball plate appearances.

Chase Anderson takes the hill for the Brewers, and he's been pretty mediocre in 2016 with a 4.68 SIERA. He's struggled with righties throughout his career, and that's been the bugaboo in 2016, as he's allowed a .557 slugging percentage and .386 wOBA to righties. Combine that with a 36.5% hard hit-rate and 42.2% fly ball rate at home, and this opportunity is just to tasty to ignore. Sluggers like Josh Bell, David Freese, and a cheap Jordy Mercer are all in play.
