4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 9/6/17

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks.

Cleveland Indians

The freight train that is the Cleveland Indians looks to continue rolling tonight, and they try to do it against Reynaldo Lopez of the Chicago White Sox.

Lopez has shown plenty of strikeout upside in 2017 -- he whiffed 25.4% of hitters in 121 innings at Triple-A and has followed that up with a 27.1% rate in 16 1/3 big-league innings. The downside is that he walks far too many hitters (9.5% in Triple-A and 11.4% in the majors), and over that small major league sample, he's giving up a ton of hard contact. Batters have punished Lopez for a 34.9% hard-hit rate and 51.2% fly-ball rate, a big reason why he's allowed four homers so far.

Right-handed hitters have done virtually nothing against Lopez -- he has allowed a minute .196 wOBA to them, but lefties have posted a .419 wOBA, 46.2% hard-hit rate, and 61.5% fly-ball rate. Get yo' lefties ready.

There are several lefties on the Indians we will want to target, and Jose Ramirez may be the hottest of them all.

Slumping after the All-Star break with a .294 wOBA in August, Ramirez ($3,700) has come out like a man on fire in September with five dingers to his name. The switch-hitter is equally adept from both sides of the plate, but as a lefty-swinger, he's rocking a 34.0% hard-hit rate and 41.8% fly-ball rate. While he may be a popular option due to all of that recent homer goodness, he's too good to pass up right now.

Back from a stint on the disabled list, Lonnie Chisenhall ($3,000) is another lefty to consider. On the road against right-handed pitching in 2017, Chisenhall boasts a 159 wRC+, 40.3% hard-hit rate, and 59.7% fly-ball rate without a huge price tag.

For a cheap outfield play, check and see if Abraham Almonte makes his way into the lineup ($2,300). In 125 plate appearances against lefties, he's recorded a .171 ISO and gives some nice pop at a low price point.
