4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 9/25/17

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks.

Boston Red Sox

On the verge of officially clinching the American League East, the Boston Red Sox will look to hold serve with a solid matchup against Brett Anderson of the Toronto Blue Jays, who has struggled to a 7.15 ERA, 15.1% strikeout rate, and an 8.5% walk rate in 45 1/3 innings.

Righties have really done some major damage, blasting him for a .375 wOBA and a .526 slugging percentage. In his last start against the Kansas City Royals, Anderson only logged four outs while allowing seven hits, two walks, and eight earned runs.

There's one big bat we need to pay up for as part of a Boston stack, and that's Mr. Mookie Betts at $4,500.

With the platoon advantage, Betts has crushed lefties for a 34.6% hard-hit rate and 38.2% fly-ball rate. Given that inflated salary, we will need to find some value bats to afford the stack, and luckily, there are plenty. Dustin Pedroia ($3,100) is a fantastic top-of-the-lineup option to consider while showing a similar level of prowess against southpaws, mashing them for a .392 wOBA and .929 OPS.

To round out the stack, there are two virtually-free options in Deven Marrero ($2,200) and Sam Travis ($2,000). Marrero ranks third on the Sox with a 156 wRC+ in this situation, and Travis ranks one spot higher with a 172 wRC+ and a solid .434 wOBA to boot.
