FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Monday 10/8/18
With the Brewers completing a sweep of the Rockies on Sunday, we're left with three contests for Monday's playoff slate. The Astros and Indians get things started at 1:30pm ET, followed by the Dodgers and Braves at 4:30pm ET, and finally the Red Sox and Yankees at 7:40pm ET.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered!
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
Rich Hill ($9,800 on FanDuel): Unlike most of the postseason slates we've had so far, where we've had to decide whether or not to pay a premium at pitcher, everyone is fairly affordable on Monday, with no hurler reaching $10,000. Rich Hill got off to a sluggish start this year, but when it was all said and done, he put up a strong 3.57 SIERA, 27.4% strikeout rate and 7.5% walk rate, and over the second half he bumped up the strikeout rate to 29.6%, which falls right in line with the last couple seasons. With this being the playoffs, there are no truly easy matchups, but nevertheless, Hill arguably draws the best one against a Braves squad that only posted a 96 wRC+ in the second half. The concern with Hill is that he doesn't always pitch deep into games, but he's actually gone as high as 111 pitches this season, so if things go well, the Dodgers may give him some leeway.
