FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Monday 5/6/19
With several high-upside hurlers toeing the rubber on Monday night, this is decidedly a pitcher-centric nine-game main slate. That may limit our options on offense, but the always dangerous Red Sox and Astros draw two of the most fantasy-friendly matchups.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
High-Priced Pitchers
Gerrit Cole ($11,500 on FanDuel): When it comes to strikeout upside, it really doesn't get much better than Gerrit Cole, who leads the league with a massive 37.6% strikeout rate and has tallied double-digit punchouts in three of his last four starts. Excluding a misstep against the Rangers, he's also secured a quality start in six of seven outings, and his 2.88 SIERA trails only Max Scherzer on the season. Although the Royals have held their own on offense thus far, they're only showing a 3.11 implied total and are hardly a matchup to sway us from using Cole when he's on a roll like this.
