4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 9/4/19
Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.
Premium members can use our stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. Los Angeles Dodgers
The Los Angeles Dodgers own a sky-high 5.85 implied run total and are -290 favorites. They will be massive chalk tonight, but there is little reason fade them.
The Dodgers will once again face a terrible pitcher in Colorado Rockies right-hander Antonio Senzatela. In 100 innings this season, he has managed to have a great 53.1 percent ground-ball rate and 23.4 percent fly-ball rate but still sports a 5.71 SIERA. His .334 BABIP shows he's been getting a bit unlucky, which does make sense, considering his 37.7 percent hard-hit rate and 23.4 percent line-drive rate aren't terrible.
However, his 12.0 percent strikeout rate is dreadful and ranks dead last on the slate. In addition, he has zero control as his 10.3 percent walk rate would indicate. The strikeout and walk rates would certainly explain why his mediocre batted-ball data have led to a downright awful SIERA.
The left-handed power that the Dodgers possess is ridiculous. You have Cody Bellinger ($4,800), Matt Beaty ($2,900), Joc Pederson ($3,600) and Corey Seager ($3,400) all with a .230 ISO or better against right-handed pitching. Bellinger has put up an insane .431 wOBA and .349 ISO, while Pederson and Seager are putting up .369/.309 and .352/.230, respectively. If you want to save a bit of money on FanDuel, Beaty comes in with a .383 wOBA and .236 ISO and is the cheapest among these four.
After covering the lefties, there are still plenty of righties left over who are worth looking at. Justin Turner ($3,600) has a .367 wOBA and .191 ISO, while A.J. Pollock ($3,800) is a bit overpriced for his .292 wOBA and .198 ISO in a righty-righty matchup.
One smaller sample size option to love tonight is Will Smith ($3,100). In his 84 plate appearances against righties this season, he has an astonishing .472 wOBA and .500 ISO. Of course, the small sample size inflates these numbers considerably, but if he's in the lineup, he is definitely worth looking into.
