In just his second game as a member of the Giants, Kris Bryant looks like an excellent play tonight. Which other big names should we consider?

Just like in other sports, the focal point of your daily fantasy baseball lineups will be your high-salary studs. These guys take up by far the biggest chunk of your cap space, but they also offer the highest ceiling. And in the case of pitchers, the high-salary options typically come with the highest floors, too.

For hitters, we're looking for guys with big numbers, strong matchups, and with players around them that are likely to produce well, too, increasing our chances for runs and RBI. For pitchers, we want big strikeout numbers, while the ability to go deep in a game and pick up a win is also valuable.

With your high-salary picks playing such a big role in your lineup, you need to be right on these guys, so let's take a look at a few top-end options you can count on to anchor your lineup today.

Tylor Megill, SP, New York Mets ($8,500)

There's a couple of big arms on Monday's main slate, and my pick to click is Tylor Megill of the New York Mets as we dissect the opportunities available.

Megill attacks a Miami Marlins offense that ranks second-worst in the league in team wOBA (.295), they've really struggled at the plate owning a 25.9% strikeout rate at the dish as well.

Per our model, Megill ranks among the top starters on tonight's main slate (26.9 FanDuel points), and he could pop in a big way against this offense.

Joey Gallo, OF, New York Yankees ($3,500)

I understand that people may shy away from Joey Gallo of the New York Yankees because of the hefty strikeout rate, but are you possibly ignoring one of the league's elite hitters in the process?

In a word, yes. Gallo may strike out a ton, but he's also walking at an 18.9% clip, and he has amassed a .261 isolated power (ISO) and a 135 wRC+.

And, Gallo and crew boast the slate's highest implied team total today -- I think you want exposure to this team, and this is a great spot to pop.

Kris Bryant, 3B, San Francisco Giants ($4,200)

Traded over to the San Francisco Giants, it's a bit funky seeing Kris Bryant in orange and white, but here we are.

Bryant has been absolutely brilliant this season for both teams, logging a 132 wRC+ mark thanks to 19 home runs and a 10.3% walk rate.

Taylor Widener opposes Bryant and crew tonight, and he's been really hurt by the long ball with 1.96 HR/9 this season. With those homer-prone struggles, Bryant could post a big score.
