Keegan Thompson starting for Cubs on Wednesday
Chicago Cubs right-handed pitcher Keegan Thompson will start on Wednesday against the San Diego Padres.
Thompson will make his first start of the season on Wednesday afternoon in San Diego, which will allow Drew Smyly to have two more days of rest before an expected start against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday. The right-hander hasn't worked more than four innings in any appearance this season.
numberFire’s models project Thompson for 3.14 innings and 17.26 FanDuel points on Wednesday, and he has a $5,500 salary. Thompson owns a 1.17 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with 21 strikeouts in 23 innings this season.
