Red Sox send reliever Jake Diekman to White Sox for catcher Reese McGuire
The Chicago White Sox have acquired left-handed reliever Jake Diekman from the Boston Red Sox in return for catcher Reese McGuire.
What It Means:
Diekman will join the White Sox bullpen after spending most of the season with the Red Sox.
Diekman accrued a career-best 5-1 record with the Rex Sox this season, but tallied a 4.23 ERA with a 1.49 WHIP across 38.3 innings of action.
