Boston's Chris Sale (undisclosed) exits early Thursday night
Boston Red Sox pitcher Chris Sale (undisclosed) exited Thursday night's game against the Cincinnati Reds in the fourth inning.
Sale made it into the fourth inning of Thursday's game before Red Sox manager Alex Cora and a trainer pulled him from the contest. The broadcast mentioned that Sale had been dealing with an illness heading into tonight's game, and Sale's velocity was reportedly down compared to his season average.
Sale struck out 6 prior to his exit, but allowed 5 hits and a walk in his 3.2 innings as well as an earned run. Justin Garza took his place on the mound.
