Angels' Mike Trout (wrist) undergoes surgery, expected to miss 4-8 weeks
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (wrist) is expected to miss 4-8 weeks.
Trout underwent surgery on his fractured wrist on Wednesday. He is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks, with a possible absence of eight weeks. Expect Mickey Moniak to remain in center field with Trout sidelined. Shohei Ohtani, who left Tuesday's game with a blister, is in Wednesday's lineup in the designated hitter role.
Trout is batting 0.263 this season with 18 homes and 44 RBI in 358 plate appearances.
