Ozzie Albies (hamstring) out Monday for Braves
Atlanta Braves infielder Ozzie Albies is not in the lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Clarke Schmidt and the New York Yankees due to a hamstring strain.
Albies is absent for the first time this season after he made an early exit from Sunday night's series finale against the New York Mets. Nicky Lopez will start on second base Monday in place of Albies and bat ninth. Michael Harris II will move up and bat second.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Braves' implied total is 5.22 and the game total is 9.0 on Monday. Schmidt has mostly been mediocre this season, with a 4.08 xERA, 22.2% strikeout rate, and 6.3% walk rate.
