Texas Rangers pitcher Max Scherzer (shoulder) is expected to miss the remainder of the season and is "unlikely" to pitch in the playoffs.
After suffering a strained teres major in his right shoulder on Tuesday, Scherzer is likely done for the season.
Expect the Rangers to utilize Jon Gray, Jordan Montgomery, Andrew Heaney, Dane Dunning, and Nathan Eovaldi in their rotation with Scherzer sidelined.
