Arizona's Pavin Smith riding pine for Game 6 of NLCS Monday night
The Arizona Diamondbacks did not list Pavin Smith in their lineup for Monday's Game 6 of the National League Championship Series against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Smith will cede designated hitting duties to Tommy Pham for this evening's affair. Pham will bat sixth against Phillies starter Aaron Nola, who has pitched to an elite 0.96 ERA in 3 starts this postseason.
Smith drew the start in Game 5 but struck out twice without making it to base across his 4 plate appearances. Arizona will lean on Pham with the series on the line.
