Diamondbacks' Blaze Alexander (hamstring) not in Monday lineup
The Arizona Diamondbacks will not have Blaze Alexander (hamstring) available for Monday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Alexander was pulled from the Diamondbacks' Sunday night game due to hamstring cramps and was unable to return. He'll miss this evening's game against the Cardinals at minimum, but will hopefully be able to avoid the injured list. Kevin Newman will cover shortstop in his absence.
The rookie's career has gotten off to an excellent start. Across 58 plate appearances he's batting .321 with a .945 OPS and has 3 home runs, 9 runs, 13 RBI and a stolen base so far.
