Braves' Ronald Acuna (knee) expected to be ready for Opening Day
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna (knee) is expected to be ready for Opening Day on March 28 against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Acuna was diagnosed with irritation in the meniscus of his right knee after being scratched from last Friday's spring game. He visited with a specialist and will gradually increase baseball activities leading up to Opening Day. The 26-year-old won the NL MVP last season after slashing .337/.416/.596 with 41 homers, 106 RBI, 149 runs scored, and 73 steals.
numberFire's models project Acuna to record a .312 batting average and .966 OPS this season, with 36 homers, 101 RBI, 128 runs scored, and 43 steals.
