Rowdy Tellez on Pittsburgh bench Monday
Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman Rowdy Tellez is not in the lineup for Monday afternoon's series opener against left-hander MacKenzie Gore and the Washington Nationals.
The left-handed hitting Tellez started against a lefty on Sunday and went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run and 3 strikeouts. Connor Joe will shift to first base in place of Tellez on Monday. Bryan Reynolds will man left field, while Andrew McCutchen will start at designated hitter and bat cleanup. Edward Olivares will remain in the outfield and bat fifth.
Joe is currently numberFire’s third-best point-per-dollar value among batters on Monday. He has a $2,500 salary on the All Day slate and our models project him for 12.4 FanDuel points.
